About this blog
TriageCode MD is a blog about the code behind emergency care: triage tools, clinical decision support, hospital information systems, and the AI models now being pointed at them.
It is written from inside a working emergency department in Ethiopia, where resources are limited, patients arrive sick, and software has to earn its place by saving time or lives. Expect build notes, plain-language explanations of how an algorithm reaches its answer, and honest accounts of what worked and what did not.
Posts are written for clinicians, health-system leaders and developers who want to understand each other.
